Without a clear understanding of technological options available from different sectors, managing the transition to a global low carbon economy will be extremely difficult. Furthermore, predicting when/how these technological options become available is particularly challenging, as most energy technologies are part of complex global technology systems and are often concieved via interaction of different scientific fields—for example, solar photovoltaic (PV) innovations have arisen from developments in consumer and industrial electronics, whilst advances in concentrated solar power (CSP) derive from aerospace and satellite technologies.
Our team covers a broad section of the Energy and Clean Technology field. We have developed particular expertise in the following fields:
- Advanced Refrigeration
- Carbon Capture
- Cleaner Coal
- Concentrated Solar Power
- Desalination & Water Sanitation
- Energy Storage
- Fuel Cells
- Geothermal Energy Systems
- Marine Transport
- Nanodevices & Materials
- Refineries and Power Generation
- Smart Grids
- Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
- Wind Energy
